Quantum Physics

Please DO NOT IGNORE THIS SUBJECT. You can, however, ignore it here very easily as I will not be writing about it. And as I won’t be writing about it, you won’t be reading about it, thus you’ll find it impossible not to ignore here. You see, I don’t know the first thing about Quantum Physics.

The subject does start with a ‘Q’ though, and anyone with even a rudimentary knowledge of the alphabet and the english language can inform you that ‘Q’ follows hard upon the letter ‘P’.

Well, that about concludes all I have to not say about Quantum Physics. Thank you, and Good Night.

First of all, I want to sincerely apologize to all of you for my tardiness in getting this installment up to you. It was, alas unavoidable.

But here we now are, just you and me alone together… well, not quite. So I have to ask you, did you turn your lights out for Earth Hour? I must confess, it completely slipped my mind. Oh, well – next year.

I have had a week of looking for (being auditioned or interviewed for) work, and this coming week will hopefully reveal the outcome of my quest. I did my very best on both accounts so it’s wait and see time.

Right now I’m cooking a pasta meal for myself and I plan to stay home and watch the idiot-box for a few hours.

I’m pretty sure Ponderosa was the name of the ranch in the television classic, Bonanza. Please let me know if you have any info on that.

That’s all, folks. Have a great week. Wish me luck.

I feel temporarily uninspired. INSPIRE ME!!! If you like, why not leave a comment on anything that you can think of about the topics or anything else on my website. But please, keep the profanities to a minimum.

XL

There was a joke that went around after the Wall Street problems of the late ’80’s and early ’90’s that the difference between a seagull and an accountant was that a seagull could still put a deposit on a Porsche! Maybe the days of extra large living have run their course. Not because people are no longer doing it easy, because in this country people still are doing it easy. The scare of the financial crisis today is just that… a scare. People are sophisticated and they’re just not as gullible as the politicians, the church, the media and the Big End Of Town would have them be.

Have we learned nothing from the excesses, the EXTRA-LARGE way of life? And where did XL come from? And who was best served by that ideology? There are those (see above) who would say we shouldn’t get caught up in the blame-game, but to me that seems a tad too convenient. What’s that saying? Oh yes, “Those who ignore the past are condemned to repeat it”. Read more

Festivities

2008 was a year where I became unemployed, employed, unemployed and “held” for employment. At this time I ask myself “Did I leave this year in a better state than how I entered it?” I think the answer is “Yes”. I’m fitter, and happier than at this time last year, I’m a year older and wiser than at the same time last year and I feel freer now. The journey from that point to this has been, let’s be generous, Challenging.
There’s more challenges ahead for me, and I’ll tackle them as tenaciously as I can.
To all of you, Happy New Year and remember, a New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other.
